A new comet has been discovered, which could possibly be DAYLIGHT VISIBLE affraid

Comet C/2012 S1 (ISON), only discovered last week - is currently in Cancer, at mag 17

But get this:
It has a VERY highly elliptival orbit, making it a 'sungrazer' - At perihelion, late November 2013, it is expected to reach mag -13
Yes that's right - MINUS THIRTEEN

Though it'll be too close to the Sun at that time, it will however, for a brief period either side of perihelion, be daylight visible at around mag -7 in Scorpius, and won't go lower than -22º declinatiom (12½º above our Southern horizon)

It should also be visible at night for at least a few weeks either side of that date - a graph I've seen has it getting brighter than mag 8 around mid-october - peaking VERY bright in late Nov/early Dec - then fading after that. It looks like it'll be at least telescopically (or binocular) visible until maybe mid/late Feb 2014

This diagram shows how close to the Sun it will be (line of sight) for the period around perihelion.

From this you can get an idea of when it'll be in the NIGHT sky

Fingers crossed.
